New Sanford International Up Next for Seniors
Monday, September 17, 2018

I'm sure the PGA Tour people are satisfied with the wrap-around season that begins in October and winds up with the Tour Championship, like in this week. But with the Champions Tour continuing for a couple of months, it's hard to get used to the new schedule. I don't care for it.

The Ally Challenge in Grand Blanc, Michigan wound up yesterday and it was won by Paul Broadhurst at 15 under par, two strokes better than Brandt Jobe. Trilogy architect Tom Lehman tied for third at 12 under and former Adena pro Marco Dawson tied for 13th at 9 under.

Among the Gators: Scott Dunlap tied for 24th at 7 under, Dudley Hart tied for 50th at 1 under, Mark Calcavecchia tied for 56th at even par and newcomer Chris DiMarco apparently doesn't have his sea legs yet; he tied for 65th at 3 over.

The Sanford International is up next for the senior group, at the Minnehaha Country Club in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It's a first-timer on the schedule. Lehman, Dawson, Dunlap, Hart, Calcavecchia and DiMarco are all aboard.
