Monday, January 21, 2019

Adam Long knocked in a 13-foot putt for birdie on the 18th hole of the Stadium Course to win the Desert Classic by one stroke over Phil Mickelson and Adam Hadwin. Long posted a final-round 65 to finish 26 under par, while Mickelson, who had led from the start, made two costly bogeys and had to settle for 3-under for 69, his worst 18 of the week. Hadwin closed with 67 to catch Mickelson at the wire for the runner-up spot.

Dominic Bozzelli, guest of the Caseys at Golden Hills several years ago, shot 66 Sunday for 226, 22 under, and finished all alone in fifth place. Seminole Daniel Berger tied for 12th at 17 under, closing with 68.
