Juveniles Headline Friday's Gulfstream Program
Monday, June 14, 2021
HALLANDALE BEACH - Live racing action at Gulfstream Park will resume Friday with a nine-race twilight card [2 p.m. start] that will feature three maiden special weight races for 2-year-olds

Hall of Fame trainer Mark Casse, who has dominated the 2-year-old season at Gulfstream thus far, will be represented by first-time starters in two of the three juvenile races. Casse has sent out debut winners in five of seven events for 2-year-old thus far during the Spring/Summer Meet. He is scheduled to be represented by Quintessential Racing Florida LLC’s Fulminate in Race 1 and Live Oak Plantation’s Forever Souper in Race 5.

Fulminate, a son of Get Stormy out of a City Zip mare, has been training well at Palm Meadows for the $70,000, 7 ½-furlong race on turf. Forever Souper, a son of American Pharoah out of a War Front mare, has also been training sharply at Palm Meadows for his debut in the $60,000 five-furlong race for Florida-breds on the main track.

Shooting Star Thoroughbreds LLC’s Noble Dreamer, who pressed the early pace while three-wide before finishing second in her May 28 debut, will return to action in Race 3, a five-furlong test for Florida-bred fillies. Saffie Joseph Jr. trains the daughter of Noble Bird, a Gr. 1 stakes winner who ran in the 2017 Pegasus World Cup Invitational at Gulfstream.

Friday’s 20-cent Rainbow 6 jackpot pool will be guaranteed at $500,000. The multi-race wager has gone unsolved for nine days since a lucky ticket-holder broke the jackpot May 29 for a $400,000 payoff.
