Saturday, October 19, 2019

Viktor Hovland's PGA Tour record of 19 consecutive rounds in the 60s came to a crashing halt at the CJ@Nine Bridges in Korea when the red-hot rookie shot a 2-over-par 74 in the third round. As a result, he fell 11 strokes behind Justin Thomas and Danny Lee, both 15 under par.

Cameron Smith is third at 13 under, two better than Wyndham Clark and Jordan Spieth, who are still within hailing distance of the lead at 11 under. Byeong Hun An is another stroke behind at 10 under. There are eight deadlocked at 9 under, a list that includes Emiliano Grillo, Gary Woodland (shot 65 in round 3), Ian Poulter (66) and Graeme McDowell.

Phil Mickelson is tied for 41st at 3 under, while Gator Billy Horschel is tied for 67th at 5 over (71-74-76). Brooks Koepka (69-75) withdrew after the second round.

The player with the most intriguing name in the field - Jazz Janewattananond - is tied for 61st.
