Grillo's 63 Takes Mayakoba Lead

    Emiliano Grillo, who has been somewhat silent in recent events, let it all hang out at the halfway point of the Mayakoba Golf Classic in Playa del Carmen, Mexico with rounds of 66-63-129, 13 under over the par-71 El Camaleon Golf Club course. 

    Grillo heads into today's third round with a comfortable four-stroke edge over Tom Hoge (66-67-133) and Tony Finau (67-66-133), with Russell Knox another stroke behind at 8-under-134. The cut came at 1 under.

    Grillo's 63 came as the result of five birdies on the front and four on the back, and one lone bogey. He has 16 birdies after two rounds. 

    Among Florida's former collegians: Gators - Camilo Villegas (70-66-136, 6 under, tied for 8th); Billy Horschel (70-69-139, 3 under, tied for 33rd); Matt Every (71-74, missed the cut). Seminoles - Daniel Berger (69-70-139, 3 under, tied for 33rd); Hank Lebioda (71-69-140, 2 under, tied for 48th); Brooks Koepka (71-71, missed the cut).
