Full Slate of Gators and Seminoles in Action on 2 Fronts This Week
Tuesday, February 22, 2022

Gators and Seminoles will be out in full force this week at the PGA's Honda Classic in Palm Beach Gardens and the Champions' Cologuard Classic in Tucson.

Down south, Camilo Villegas and Billy Horschel (two top 10s and a tie for 16th since 2016 in this event) will represent the Gator group in the $8 million Honda at PGA National, along with Brian Gay, who's back with the youngsters after his first foray on the Champions Tour last week was ultra-successful; he collected $95,000. Matt Jones is the defender - he cashed a check for $1,260,000 last time. Marc Calcavecchia, Chris DiMarco and Scott Dunlap will contest the $1.8 million Cologuard.

Seminoles represented in the Honda will be Brooks Koepka, Daniel Berger (playing injured) and Hank Lebioda.

Joaquin Niemann will try to make it two in row at the Honda after his wire-to-wire victory in the Genesis Invitational. Bernhard Langer will try to do likewise following his wire-to-wire victory in the Chubb Classic.

Ocala's Louis Oosthuizen returns to contest the Honda, one of the few events he hasn't had much success in. In six attempts in South Florida, Louis has just two top 25s. In his last, he tied for 14th in Arizona. Roger Rowland goes in his second Champions try in Tucson after a disappointing effort in the Chubb.
