Dunne Sells $1.2 Million Liam's Map Colt at OBS

    Hip No. 898, a gray or roan colt by Liam’s Map consigned by Wavertree Stables, Inc. (Ciaran Dunne), Agent, was purchased by Robert E. & Lawana Low for $1,200,000 to top the third session of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2019 Spring Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training. Out of Amazement, by Bernardini, a daughter of grade one stakes-winner Wonder Again, he turned in a quarter in :20 4/5 at his Under Tack session

    Hip No. 787, a daughter of Into Mischief consigned by de Meric Sales, Agent, went to Phoenix Thoroughbred (III) Ltd. for $750,000. The bay filly, who worked a quarter in :21 1/5, is a half-sister to stakes-placed Divisor out of Unbridled Ridge, by Unbridled’s Song.

    Hip No. 789, a bay colt by Ghostzapper consigned by Julie Davies LLC, Agent, was purchased by Stetson Racing LLC for $600,000. The half-brother to graded stakes-placed Investissement, who worked an eighth in :9 4/5, is out of graded stakes-placed Underwater, by Theatrical.

    Stonestreet Stables LLC went to $535,000 for Hip No. 856, a son of Street Boss who worked a quarter in :20 4/5. Consigned by Ocala Stud, the dark bay or brown colt is out of Woodland Park, by Bernardini, a daughter of graded stakes-winner Forest Heiress.

    Hip No. 760, a son of Twirling Candy consigned by Wavertree Stables, Inc. (Ciaran Dunne), Agent, was sold to Sheikh Rashid Humaid Al Noaimi for $500,000. The bay colt, who worked a quarter in :20 4/5, is out of Tough Market, by Suave, a half-sister to stakes-winner Law Enforcement.

    Hip No. 847, a bay filly by Bernardini consigned by Randy Bradshaw, Agent, went to Narvick International for $500,000. The half sister to grade one winner Stormello, who breezed an eighth in :10 flat on Thursday, is  out of Wilshewed, by Carson City.

    Hip No. 818, a bay colt by Medaglia d’Oro who breezed a quarter in :21 1/5, was purchased for $480,000 by Alistair Roden Bloodstock. Consigned by Tom McCrocklin, Agent, he’s out of graded stakes -winner Walk Close, by Tapit, a daughter of Gr. I stakes-placed  stakes winner Spring Awakening.

    Hip No. 889, a dark bay or brown filly by Tale of the Cat consigned by de Meric Sales, Agent, was sold to B S W Bloodstock – Liz Crow, Agent, for $420,000. Out of Allons Danser, by Eskendereya, a half sister to stakes placed Southern Truth, she breezed an eighth in :10 flat on Thursday.

    For the day, 160 horses brought a total of $17,789,000 compared with 180 grossing $16,224,500 at the corresponding session a year ago. The average price was $111,181, up 23.4% from $90,136 in 2018, while the median price was $62,000, up 12.7% from $55,000 a year ago. The buyback percentage was 24.2%; it was 17% in 2018.
