Diverse Field Descends on Caribbean for the Bermuda Championship
Thursday, October 27, 2022

The watered-down PGA Tour continues today at the Port Royal Golf Course in Southhampton, Bermuda, in the $6.5 million Butterfield Bermuda Championship, featuring a diverse group representing all eligible categories.

No big guns are entered, but there's a sizeable smattering of players who once were, such as J. J. Henry, D. A. Points, Lucas Glover, D. J. Trahan, Sean O'Hair, Charley Hoffman, Bill Haas and former four-time winner Aaron Baddeley, who snuck into the field via Monday qualifying.

Three Gators are playing - Camilo Villegas, Brian Gay and newcomer Tyson Alexander, who has moved up from the Korn Ferry Tour for his first escapade at the top. They will be joined by John Daly, giving the event two PGA and Champions Tour see-saw players, Daly and Gay.

There's one Seminole, Hank Lebioda, plus Willie Mack III, many-time entrant in the Ocala Open at Candler Hills. And, of course, the huge group who recently graduated from the Korn Ferry Tour and don't miss any event at the beginning of their new life adventure.
