Despite a 75, Tiger Is Answering the Questions
Sunday, December 3, 2017

From the standpoint of the total picture, Tiger's Saturday round wasn't what anybody was looking for, or expected. But his 3-over-par 75 wasn't nearly as bad as it appears. Missing a three-foot putt isn't fun, but it's infinitely better than not hitting the ball well, or having physical problems while walking the course.

The 75 wasn't pretty, but Tiger is still in the mode, and it won't be a surprise if he comes back today and posts a 66 or 67. He had several putts that skimmed the cup and several shots where he just got plain unlucky, like hitting his second on a par 5 over the green. His back nine was a ton better.

Tiger tees off at 11:10 with Justin Thomas.

Charley Hoffman is all alone at the top at 14 under and the way he's playing, looks unbeatable. Justin Rose and Jordan Spieth are both 9 under, and they'll have to shoot 62 to catch Hoffman, unless the former longhair tanks it.
