Berger's Eagles Account for Pebble Beach Crown; FSU ON a Roll

Two in a row for the Seminoles!

Daniel Berger's eagle putt on the final hole to win the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Sunday gave FSU a rare back-to-back double. Last week's Waste Management Phoenix Open was won by his mate - Brooks Koepka.  And both will be back to try for a trifecta this week as the PGA Tour remains in California for the $9.3 million Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades.

Picking out the main reason for Berger's victory is easy - en route to his two-stroke victory at 18 under par, Daniel canned no less than four eagles on par 5s. One came on Friday, one on Saturday and two in the finale, with the clincher on 18 giving him a 7-under-65 and the two-stroke edge over Maverick McNealy, who closed with 66. Berger's 65 was Sunday's low round and handed him his fourth Tour victory. He picked up a check of $1,404,000.

Patrick Cantlay and Jordan Spieth were both in the hunt on the back nine and finished in a tie for third at 15 under. Cantlay closed with 68 and Spieth, the third-round leader, could only muster up a 2-under 70.

Adam Scott defends his title at the Genesis Invitational, and Gators Camilo Villegas and Brian Gay are both along for the ride. Gay tied for 34th Sunday at 5 under after a disappointing closing 72.

Ted Potter will not be playing this week.
