After Three Weeks, Khozan Still the Frosh Leader
Friday, May 31, 2019

On May 10, Journeyman Stud's Khozan took over the early freshman sire lead in the U. S., with Triple Crown winner American Pharoah second. It has been 21 days since, and Khozan is still in front with progeny earnings of  $118,080 and two winners. The son of  Distorted Humor has 73 registered foals.

However, American Pharoah, who will be difficult to beat since he has 162 foals, is no longer second. That place has been taken over by Frac Daddy, who has just 31 foals, and current earnings of $104,325. The trio are among six stallions with two winners

Florida's current runner-up to Khozan is Double Diamond Farm's Bahamian Squall, with one winner and earnings of $50,600. He's ninth on the U. S. list.

LOTS OF $$$$ ON THE LINE - Gulfstream Park's ballooning Rainbow 6 jackpot will start out with more than $1.7 million in the carryover pool today, but Santa Anita's is also life-changing at $869,976.
